Our muscovado sugar is an aromatic and tasty cane sugar with small grains and a moist consistency. With its natural liquorice-like flavour, it’s mainly used in baked goods, ice cream, sauces, dressings etc. It is formed using the traditional method of crystallization, and is best for full-flavored or savory recipes because of its deep, rich molasses flavor. It can be used in brownies, gingerbread, fudge, BBQ sauce, marinades etc.

Store in a cool & dry place at ambient temperature. To retain moistness, muscovado sugar is best kept stored away from light and heat in an airtight container. Occasionally, muscovado sugar will lose its natural moistness and become hard. Even though the shelf life of muscovado sugar is indefinite, it’s best to use it within six months of purchase for maximum flavor. Don’t store muscovado sugar in the refrigerator. However, if you are in a very dry area or are going to keep it for a long time, you may want to freeze it.
